How am I?
Not baaad.
It has been a while since I posted anything on this site. Originally, I built the site to show a centrist view that perhaps made sense, but now there is no centrist beginning or ending. Instead we have the agreeable and the disagreeable and if you disagree, you can expect to be cancelled or worse. If you disagree the mob will come for you.
The last 8 years have reminded me of the movie “Quatermass and the Pitt” (Which was also a series) where we find that some humans were genetically modified to follow orders, and at the crescendo of the movie they bind together to get rid of anyone who does not fit in.
Here we are in 2026, as the year wanes, and we see the same. Far right and far let have become beacons of “my way or the highway” and so many people do not find a way to research any real data, instead we are bound to 15 second clips, or funny memes that mean little, and perhaps less.
My hope is that is anyone reads this at all, they find a way to think for themselves. Listen to others to hear, and then find your truth, not the truth someone feeds you. Find a close truth you can believe, and then know it. Not turn it into a weapon of ego destruction, but instead challenge your truth, make your truth real, or find a new truth if your truth is less than perfect.
I leave you with this, if you remove a friend for disagreeing with you, you are the problem. Listen, learn, and be polite, but never walk away angry, even if your truth is challenged. You have the power to be an adult, and in doing so, the ability to disagree, but not hate.
I will keep trying each day to see a better world, and will not think like a sheep. Join me?
