Don’t tell me to smile… What do we owe our children?

Ever look at our current state and be reminded of something? When I look at the news right now I am reminded of an old movie called “Disclosure” that stared Michael Douglas. In the movie a key element revolved around a sexual harassment suit but not around the actual issue of a failed piece of technology. A serious issue was being utilized to mask an even more serious issue.

So tell me, how is what is going on right now any different?

At the current time there is a huge focus on gun control, magazine size, assault weapons and a host of legislation to control guns for law abiding citizens, but an item we hear very little about is the budget. Is this another attempt to fire up American citizens about something that seems important, but hide an issue that is actually more devastating than most people can imagine? If we examine what is going on right now, isn’t it strange that White house tours have been ceased, but the Biden group can spend over a million dollars in a weekend working overseas?

Isn’t it time for a bit of a sanity check? It is my opinion, and this is an opinion, that people should be considering why guns are the focus when the government is spending far more than can be taken in and that resolution is far more important. There are those who will point to recent events and note that people lost lives because of illegal or improper gun use, but more people die of cancer, heart disease, aids, car accidents, and a plethora of other issues than will be killed by guns this year. Even more children are affected by negative situations than could ever be  considered by gun violence. Yes, I can cite   sources but I leave that to you.

On this issue it is hard to be neutral, as I really cannot see the sheep side at all, then again, I think the sheep are being played by wolves this time.
